Hail, Full Of Grace!

Our Plans to Revitalize Our Church And Campus Facilities

Our Campaign

To address our needs and plans we are initiating an intensive fundraising effort titled the “HAIL, FULL OF GRACE” campaign. Our aim with this important effort is to raise the funds required to revitalize our church and campus facilities. We recognize the economic stress on some parishioners. This campaign provides an opportunity for all of us to prayerfully discern the appropriate level of sacrificial giving.

Our minimum goal is $2,000,000,000 which will enable us to complete the renovation of the Foley House, construct a new rectory and vesting sacristy, construct a bride’s room annex that will also house new restrooms, and create an outdoor gathering plaza between Foley House and the church. Funds raised over $2 million will allow us to build a low wall and fence with a landscaped garden along Texas Avenue. A challenge goal of $4,000,000 has also been set which, if met, will enable us to complete all the above components of the campaign as well as invest seed money to purchase Jackson Street from the city to address a long term parking solution. There are several long-term projects that will eventually need to be addressed. Recently discovered termite infestation in the church and much needed repairs to the deteriorating stonework in the Chapel of Our Lady of Perpetual Help are cause for concern. With the age of our church building, an endowment fund is needed to provide for the perpetual care of our important and beloved Annunciation Church. Finally, a new parish hall will complete our campus renovations. We expect these projects to be included in phase 2 sometime after the successful completion of our phase 1 campaign.

Campaign Prayer

Almighty and Eternal Father, moved by the Holy Spirit, we have made so bold as to plan for future needs of our church. Instill within us the determination to see this renewal to fruition. As we announce our financial needs & ask for parish support, Father, we invoke the name of our Blessed Mother. Help us to follow her example in trust & serenity.

When the archangel Gabriel announced the Lord’s plan, Mary accepted His will in faith & humility. In the spirit of the original Annunciation let us embrace & support our parish goals in faith & humility. The Blessed Mother conceived of the Holy Spirit & brought forth our Savior, Jesus Christ. Let us be consumed by this same Holy Spirit that we may more fully participate as the Body of Christ on earth, His Church.

Mary & Joseph nurtured the Child Jesus in truth & grace. Let us build our spiritual home so that we may nurture our own parish children in the same truth & grace. Our Lady’s heart was repeatedly pierced, but her unshakeable trust in God’s promise sustained her. Let us always remember our own sacrifices are momentary, the inconveniences fleeting, & all lead to the joy of building a parish community for the greater glory of God.
Amen
