St. Joseph Altar Devotion | Scholarship Drive

On Saturday, March 21, 2026, bring your family to experience a traditional Sicilian St. Joseph's Altar and Lenten pasta lunch in the Annunciation Plaza, generously cooked by the Marian Daughters!

The Altar is presented to honor St. Joseph in thanksgiving for his blessings. The items on the altar - Italian cookies, baked goods, cannoli, and more - will be available for purchase.

Blessing of the Altar will begin at 11:15 am. Lunch will be served after the blessing until 2 pm. Admission is free. Suggested donation for lunch is $10/adults and $5/children ages 3-10.

Please join us in honoring this great saint, Head of the Holy Family and Patron of the Universal Church, for a complimentary Lenten pasta meal. Proceeds from a silent auction of items will go toward the Scholarship Fund for young men pursuing traditional trades. If there are no qualified applicants, funds will go to the care & repair of the church. Learn more →

History of St. Joseph’s Altar

The Sicilian tradition of the St. Joseph’s Altar began centuries ago when the villagers prayed to St. Joseph for his intercession in ending a dreadful famine. Their prayers were answered, and in thanksgiving and homage to the earthly Father of Christ, this beautiful custom was born.
