Baptism

Baptism is the sacrament that gives our souls the new life of sanctifying grace by which we become children of God and heirs of heaven.

My child is 0-6 years old and I'd love to have him/her baptized.

My child is 7-17 years old and he or she would love to be baptized.

I am 18 years old or older and would love to be baptized.

    • It takes away original sin and actual sin and all the punishment due to them, as long as the person being baptized is guilty of any actual sins and is truly sorry for them.

    • Become a member of the Church, and be capable of receiving other sacraments.

    • To gain salvation. Christ said: "Unless a man be born again of water and the spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." - Jn. 3:3

  • The Catholic Church teaches that “every person not yet baptized…is able to be baptized.” (CCC 1246)

If you had a valid baptism, you cannot be baptized again because the effect of the sacrament on your soul remains with you forever (CCC 1121).

    What makes a valid Baptism?

  • Infant baptisms performed only on Saturdays following the 8:00 am Mass in the church.

Adult baptisms happen every year during Easter Vigil Mass.

“The more we live in contact with Jesus in the reality of our Baptism, the more Heaven will open above us”

—Pope Benedict XVI
