Altar Servers

Called to Serve in the Heavenly Liturgy

Become an Altar Server

In the Mass, we are participating in the heavenly liturgy, where Jesus the Bridegroom lays down His life for His Bride the Church.

The host truly becomes Jesus Christ - Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity. The chalice contains the eternal Precious Blood of the Lamb.

Altar servers represent the heavenly host — the angels and saints — who worship and serve God.

Who Can Serve

  • mature young boys age 10 or older (although exceptions can be made)

  • adult men

  • must have received the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion.

Priesthood is reserved for men, so having only male altar servers reinforces this doctrine and aids boys and young men in discerning a priestly vocation.

When & Where We Serve

  • Masses

  • Funerals

  • Weddings
