Evangelizing on Father’s Day: Encounters of Grace
Evangelists!
Last Saturday's Daikin Park/Annunciation Church outreach had 6 evangelists, including our own Fr JP. Our mobile team returned early to the table as it was tough going with the ballpark emptying. A few of the many encounters:
Celebrating Father's Day we passed out dozens of St Joseph metals/cards and prayed with many fathers who were open to prayer. We also had meaningful encounters with some stadium workers who willingly discussed spiritual matters and offered prayers for those needing a divine/healing touch. A security worker who suffered from depression and oppression commited his life to following Chist (using Jesus at the Door card) and was given parish information for followup.
A couple of social media "influencers" and their photo shoot team in front of Annunciation were given crucifixes along with Gospel holy cards. They were surprised when Dcn Alex informed them that their video backdrop was the oldest Catholic Church in Houston.They welcomed his prayer and blessing for their business.
The team had a run-in with two Protestant "fire and brimstone" preachers who came by the table challenging Catholic theology, especially Marian dogma. Our evangelists slowly broke away as the dialogue was going nowhere but one the "preachers", Daniel, upon leaving was impressed that we prayed with people.

-Pasadena Flea Market (2222 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, TX 77504). 11a-2p. NOTE: Please RSVP to team leader, Janet Estepp, (505)321-2404 as Flea Market outreaches lately have been very slow, as much of the immigrant crowd has been staying home for fear of deportation. Please keep the market in your prayers.
-Comicpalooza (George R. Brown Convention Center). 5:30p-7:30p, (before the "Saturday Night Rave" we're "raving" for Jesus, c'mon!). Table on the corner of Crawford and Capitol, in front of Incarnate Academy. Teams to go out, as well. Carpools available from the CCC at 5p to park at Annunciation Church (please RSVP). Anticipate a younger crowd more opened to engaging!
PLEASE pray for our SPSE efforts to share the Good News. Pray for new team leaders (we purchase all leader supplies) and new venues (we're open to suggestions) to bring REVIVAL to Houston!
