Hope you are all enjoying the beautiful Christmas Octave!
January 3: following 1st Saturday devotions. (approx 9:30am) Epiphany will be celebrated Jan. 4th and Jan. 6th. This means that the statues of the shepherds must be moved out and the wise men put in on Jan. 3rd. We need strong men to help move the heavy statues and help cleaning out the 'cave' and repacking the shepherds, cow, donkey, and sheep. Power tool for screwing the tops/sides of the crates will be helpful.
January 10: following 8am Mass (approx 8:45am) and later 1:30pm (following a noon wedding)
The morning shift (8:45-11:30am) will require strong men who can help move the heavy statues out of the creche and repack them in their crates. Some cleanup and dismantling of the INSIDE of the cave will be done also, if time permits.
We could use another crew (1:30 - 3:30pm ) to finish dismantling the paper/chicken wire, wooden platform, storing the wood and wire, moving the Blessed Mother back into place...and cleanup before the 5:30pm Vigil Mass.
January 16: 8:00am We need some strong men to help load the creche (statue crates, wooden platform pieces, etc.) into the U-Haul and unload them at the Cathedral Centre loading dock and store them in the room there.
Please email sign up (and time(s) if appropriate) to seahouse1@att.net so we can make sure we have enough people to complete these tasks on time (or possibly even early if there are enough people).
Thanks,
Mike and Mary Camara
